Creating your first server
From sign-up to your friends connecting — this walkthrough covers everything you need to get a PulsarServers game server online in under five minutes.
You'll need a valid email address and a payment card (Visa, Mastercard or Amex). The whole process takes about 3–5 minutes.
Step 1 — Pick your plan
Head over to pulsarservers.com and click Start Your Server. You'll see the full game catalog — for this walkthrough we'll use Minecraft, but the steps are identical for every game.
Each game opens a configurator where you'll choose:
- RAM — start with at least 4 GB for vanilla, 6–8 GB for plugins, 8–12 GB for modpacks.
- Location — pick the EU node closest to most of your players.
- Billing cycle — monthly is the default; longer cycles unlock a discount.
Use our RAM calculator — it estimates a good plan based on player count, mods and view distance.
Step 2 — Checkout
On the checkout page, create your PulsarServers account (or sign in if you already have one) and pay. Payments are processed by Stripe; we accept:
- Credit / debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express)
- Apple Pay & Google Pay on supported devices
Once the payment clears, your server is provisioned automatically — usually under 60 seconds. You'll get an email with your Game Panel login the moment it's ready.
Step 3 — Open the Game Panel
Sign in at panel.pulsarservers.com with the credentials from the welcome email. You should see your new server in the list — click it to open the dashboard.
On the dashboard you'll find:
- The connection IP & port at the top — this is what players type into Minecraft.
- Console for live server output and commands.
- Files tab for direct access to
server.properties, plugins, worlds, etc. - Backups, Schedules and Subusers in the left rail.
Step 4 — Start the server
Hit the green Start button on the dashboard. The console will scroll as Minecraft generates the world and accepts the EULA. The first boot takes 20–60 seconds; subsequent restarts are much faster.

Once you see Done!, your server is live and accepting connections.
Step 5 — Connect & invite players
Copy the connection IP from the top of your Game Panel — it looks like play.pulsarsrv.com:25565. In Minecraft:
- Open Multiplayer → Add Server.
- Paste the IP into the Server Address field.
- Click Done, then double-click the entry to join.
You can connect a custom domain like play.yourserver.com using a CNAME or SRV record. See the Custom domain guide for the exact DNS values.
